Meet the Team

Okavango Cooking School has been founded to offer the best possible, holistic training in Botswana. We are passionate about sharing cooking knowledge and we have fully qualified trainers who have worked in the safari industry for many years and have hands-on experience as to what is expected when catering.

The trainers and the school are fully accredited with Botswana Qualifications Authority and any course we offer that is BQA accredited, you will be able to claim the training fees.

The founders of Okavango Cooking School, offer a variety of programmes specifically designed to acccommodate the toursim industry in Botswana. We offer a high standard of training in English and Setswana. Nutrition and dietary are part of our experience as the school has a qualified nutrionist who assists with all menu planning.


Training can be organised at our training facility in Maun or we can come to the workplace to train staff on site. 

Agnes Hange


Agnes Hange is a fully trained Batswana chef, accredited by BQA. Agnes has years of experience cooking and managing kitchens in Northern Botswana and specializes in local cuisine.

Starr Lindegger


Starr Lindegger, has been trained as a chef in a classic French kitchen and holds a degree from Australia as a nutritionist. Starr is well-known in Maun offering years of staff training to major companies.
